FXMS and EBS trading back to normal

Volumes over the Reuters and Chicago Mercantile Exchange joint-venture platform dropped 24% to $832 million, from $1.09 billion in August. Similarly, volumes on EBS last month were $192 billion, down from $240 billion the previous month (FX Week, September 10). Year on year, however, the Icap-owned platform was up 34% on average daily volumes of $143.6 million in August 2006.

Trading in EUR/JPY on FXMS fell 86% to $71 million, which reflects the activity in the wider market. This was followed by
