HSBC emerges in Georgia

The new operation, based in Georgia's capital Tbilisi, kicked off business last Monday (June 23). Heading up the branch's retail and corporate foreign exchange business is David Talakhadze, who joined HSBC from Bank of Georgia in December last year. He previously worked as an FX dealer at the Georgian bank, from August 2003.

At HSBC, Talakhadze manages two locally sourced treasury staff and reports to Tony Turner, Tbilisi-based chief executive of HSBC Georgia.
