BZW London Names Schiess To New Position As Head Of Combined EMS And Exotics Desk

Barclays de Zoete Wedd has created a combined European Monetary System and exotic currency desk in its London dealing room, largely because of the arrival of Bennie Schiess early last month, say officials. Foreign exchange manager Richard McDonald says that Schiess is ideally suited to run both desks, which have long been physically located at the same dealing table in the London room.
Schiess, a Swiss national, was transferred into London from Paris, where he was running BZW's foreign exchange
