Fleet Bank To Close Connecticut Desk But Set To Expand, Upgrade In Boston

Fleet Bank of Massachusetts, which had "a phenomenal year" in the markets in 1991, but has been far less successful this year, is looking to grow its foreign exchange trading operation, officials there confirm. However, the move is being made to fill several holes, including those created by its decision to shut down its corporate sales desk in Connecticut.
