Fund Managers Off To Slow Start In 1996 With Lower FX Gains In Q1

Fund managers are once again having a tough time in the foreign exchange markets, according to Ferrell Capital Management's FX Index, a benchmark for tracking the performance of multi-advisor currency portfolios, which showed an overall gain of 1.19 per cent during the first quarter with 36 programmes reporting.

The median return was 1.28 per cent, while the high performer came in at 10.86 per cent and the lowest performance came in at down 10.63 per cent. The top and bottom 5 per cent are
