Reuters Holdings PLC's attorneys, Weil, Gotshal & Manges, are working overtime to get the Dealing 2000-2 fraud suit thrown out of court. Last week, Weil et al filed a 45-page motion to dismiss. At the same time, sources say, Reuters is seeking an out-of-court settlement. Original complaint was filed by Charles Kesten, an individual investor from Brooklyn, who says he was recruited for the suit by his investment advisors at Smith Barney, Harris Upham & Co.
