Citibank Leads Top 40 Battle For Supremacy

Citibank continues to lead its peers in the latest FX Week Top 40 ranking of international banks in terms of FX trading revenues for the first half of 1997, posting $552 million during the period, followed by SBC Warburg Dillon Read and HSBC, respectively (see table, this story).

The half year results show that nearly all the major banks have been enjoying solid returns so far, with just seven of the 40 banks listed showing lower year-on-year results.
