Banks In London Look To A Good 1993; High Volatility And Volume Expected

Foreign exchange dealers in London are looking forward to a good year in 1993. Executives at major banks say that although the turbulence of September and October may not be soon repeated, they expect active markets and good profits.

"We see increased opportunities for movement within the European currencies," says Rob Loewy, foreign exchange director at Midland Global Markets. "We also envisage a reasonable level of activity in the dollar against the majors."
