Dealing 2000-2 One Year Later: Many More Users, Volume Still Low

One year after the launch of Reuters' Dealing 2000-2 electronic FX matching system, some 150 bank dealing rooms worldwide now have the system installed and another 137 are slated to take it, according to Reuters spokesman Peter Griffiths. "Matching activity is accelerating weekly, and daily traffic is now three times the level seen at the start of 1993," he says.

Volumes on the system still remain low, however, according to user banks. Griffiths acknowledges that daily transactions have not yet
