Simon Jagot, Merrill Lynch's director and regional sales manager of foreign exchange based in New York resigned on August 8, in what sources see as another blow to the investment bank (FX Week, August 8). Jagot has joined Swiss Bank Corp. in New York as manager of foreign exchange sales for North America, confirms an SBC official. In recent months Merrill has been hit by a number of senior-level departures.
