Finex Sets Launch Of Three Asian Currencies, But Holds Off On Sing$

The New York Cotton Exchange's (Nyce) Finex futures division will begin trading in three new US dollar-paired Asian currency futures contracts--the Indonesian rupiah, Malaysian ringgit and Thai baht--on Finex from July 11 (FXW, June 2). The launch into emerging Asian currencies marks a first for the exchange.

The exchange also plans to launch a Singapore dollar currency futures contract later in the year, but has delayed this due to reported concerns from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (FXW
