Vendors Emphasise Large-Scale Applications At Jakarta Forex

The emphasis placed by leading information vendors Reuters and Dow Jones Telerate on large-scale applications designed to manage risk, limits, deals and orders was the most notable development at the Asia Pacific Forex Assembly in Jakarta.

Most curious was the absence of Minex, which declined to use space in Telerate's booth to promote its FX order-matching system.

Although the exhibit floor boasted just 18 booths -- of which but a dozen catered specifically to the FX market -- the conference
