Problem: Over the past 12 months the Canadian dollar has appreciated 15% versus the US dollar, reaching levels not seen since 1998. We believe the Canadian dollar will re-trace to the 1.4500 level over the next 12 months. This will come as interest rate differentials between the two currencies continue to fall, and relative growth expectations improve for the US economy in general.
