Time for Asian exporters to 'switch'

BACKGROUND: For Asian exporters to the US and Europe, a key risk is domestic currency appreciation. Appreciation not only affects exporters' receivables, but it also makes their products more expensive and therefore less competitive, all other things being equal, compared with those from producers in other countries.
