Monex closes Tradable platform

The retail-trading platform will be discontinued in July, only two years after launch

Japanese broker Monex Group has announced it will no longer be offering its Tradable service, discontinuing new transactions as soon as this month.

In a statement, the broking giant said the service will be shut down completely by the end of July, but it fell short of explaining the reasons behind its decision, leaving its next move unclear.

The news comes only two years after the trading platform launched amid high hopes for the retail foreign exchange market. In September 2014, Monex announced
