Shuster fined by CFTC following guilty verdict

WASHINGTON, DC - The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has obtained an order for $240,000 in civil monetary penalties against Boris Shuster after he was found guilty of operating an illegal FX 'boiler room' operation.

He was also found guilty of violating anti-fraud regulations by a New York court last week. Shuster escaped a large restitution penalty due to a $310,000 restitution requirement he received in a related criminal proceeding. He has also been banned from trading and
