RBC becomes EBS Direct's first Canadian liquidity provider

Number of liquidity providers on the relationship platform grows to 19

The Royal Bank of Canada has signed up to provide liquidity on Icap's relationship-trading FX platform, EBS Direct in Commonwealth currencies, bringing the total number of liquidity providers on the platform to 19.

The broker has long had ambitions to take a bigger slice of the Commonwealth pie, which are traditionally traded on rival Thomson Reuters, rather than Icap's EBS Market platform which is the main trading platform for the euro, the dollar, the yen and the Swiss franc.
