Markit is developing an electronic trade confirmation and exercise management service for FX options in a bid to automate manual, post-trade processes to help market participants reduce their operational risk and costs.

The financial information services provider is working with Barclays, Citi, HSBC, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Nomura, Royal Bank of Scotland, UBS and a number of buy-side institutions including Citadel's Global Fixed Income Fund, to design an electronic service that will provide
