Over-the-counter derivative contracts for counterparties based in Scotland are unlikely to change significantly in the event of Scottish independence, say legal experts familiar with the matter.

Scottish voters go to the polls for a referendum on independence from the rest of the UK on September 18, with much uncertainty over the economic fortunes of the country should the nationalist campaign win.
