Downes steps down at Citi
Downes reported to Bruno Widmer, the Zurich-based global head of foreign exchange bank sales. His next destination is unclear. He joined Citi from UBS in London in July 2008 with seven of his UBS colleagues: Widmer, Martin Tschaechtli, Tanya Scacchi, Birgit Ludwig Wasser, Toby Frei, Paul Von Wartburg and Craig Schultz (FX Week, January 5, 2009).
In Hong Kong, Citi has hired Xie from Nomura in Hong Kong. Xie worked as a vice-president in foreign exchange sales, selling to the Chinese
