FX volumes rise at Icap

LONDON – Foreign exchange revenues rose 6% at Icap for the six months to September 30, but average daily trading volumes on EBS Spot fell 44% year-on-year in October.

In the interdealer broker’s results released last week (November 17), FX revenues across voice and electronic broking registered £131 million compared with £124 million in the same period in 2008. Average daily EBS volumes for October were down significantly at $137.6 billion, dropping from $243.8 billion in the previous year.
