CFTC charges another forex fraudster

The CFTC alleges that convicted fraudster Alexsander Efrosman misappropriated $5 million from as many as 110 customers for trading managed accounts in forex futures contracts that were not traded on a registered entity.

Efrosman carried out the allegedly fraudulent activity shortly after his release from prison, where he was serving a three-year sentence for mail and wire fraud. He is alleged to have fraudulently solicited customers to trade foreign exchange through two hedge funds – the Century
