FX options fraudsters fined $25 million

The case was brought by the Commodities Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Jay Levy, a commodity options salesman at the firm, was fined and it was ruled that he could no longer trade.

The judge at the South Florida court found that Levy guaranteed customers they would profit on euro options. Levy told a client that his $34,000 investment in euro options would be worth $100,000 if the market moved up four cents and worth $97,000 if the market moved down four cents. He then guaranteed another
