CME breaks euro and ruble records

On September 4, electronically traded euro foreign exchange futures and options on futures contracts reached 423,521, representing a notional value of $76 billion. This is an 8% increase in contract volumes from the previous record of 419,827 contracts traded electronically on August 8, which represented a notional value of $82 billion (FX Week, August 18).

CME Group's overall euro FX futures and options on futures achieved a new contract record last Monday (September 8), with a total of 461,209
