SGX reports record FX volumes

The exchange prints new records in USD/CNH volumes, surpassing the $3 billion threshold on June 27

Strong trading: Singapore Exchange announces record volumes for first half of 2018

Foreign exchange futures volumes on Singapore Exchange (SGX) jumped to a new record in June, as the Chinese renminbi and Indian rupee dropped to new lows.

Aggregate FX futures volumes exceeded 1.84 million contracts with overall value of more than $ 84 billion. Trading in SGX’s flagship INR/USD and USD/CNH contracts also soared to record highs, the exchange said in a statement on July 24.

June’s success also contributed to record half-year figures. For the first six months of this year
