Swiss central bank introduces a more comprehensive and up-to-date methodology

The Swiss National Bank (SNB) has updated the way it calculates the Swiss franc exchange rate indices to reflect the methods used by other central banks, as well as various international organisations. The adjustment will affect exchange rate indices that measure the external value of the franc against the currencies of Switzerland’s trading partners.
